Coral beads are made from the calcium carbonate substance that forms the shell like outer layer the coral "polyps" survive on. Red and pink coral are the most common forms used in jewelry. Depending on the richness or rarity of the color, such as black, coral can be increasingly expensive.

Coral reefs are under numerous climate threats worldwide. Due to the endangered nature of coral, we will be selling out the coral we have, but not importing anymore.
