Tourmaline

Tourmaline is a gemstone that naturally comes in a wide variety of colors. Mixes of pink, red, brown, and purple are the most common. It is primarily found in the United States, Brazil and Africa. 

Tourmaline is one of the birthstones for October. It is 7 - 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
