Larimar

Larimar is one of the most beautiful gemstones, with a light blue and milky white coloration throughout. It is only found in the Dominican Republic, which explains why it is more expensive. 

It is often used in place of Turquoise in Southwestern jewelry designs. It is thought to be a gemstone of healing and calm. It is 4.5 - 5 on the Mohrs hardness scale.
